Please read the following terms carefully, they will ensure a safe and enjoyable trip for your party and all guests and staff of Winefred Lake lodge.

  • Dates are booked on a first come first serve basis and can only be held with full payment. No exceptions.

  • Full payment is required to hold all dates, if dates are changed prior to your arrival they are upon availability.

  • Any extras added are to be payed on request.

  • A damage deposit of $200 will be charged before check in for any damages incurred to rooms, boats, motors, equipment and property of Winefred Lake Lodge. To be payable at managements discretion. As long as no damages are incurred, damage deposit amount will be refunded at the end of your stay. 

  • Although our road is maintained ,It is shared by several local campground's, forestry, oil and gas workers in the area.  We strongly recommend a 4X4 vehicle to access Winefred lake lodge. We are not responsible for stuck vehicles or damages incurred during travel.

  • A valid boaters ID or signing of equivalent paper work operating under our boaters license is required for any guests operating our boats.

  • Life jackets, paddles and safety kit must be in your boat at all times on Winefred Lake. We supply these items but it is your responsibility to make sure you have them with you at all times on the water.

  • Use of the road, boat launch and property is at users discretion. Winefred lake staff or management is not responsible for any damages, injuries or theft incurred.

  • Please respect other guests and staff at Winefred lake. Quiet time is 11pm on the Winefred property and wilderness camp. Guests that do not comply with this may be asked to leave and will not be welcomed back to the property.

  • No ATV, camper's, RV's, or tenting is permitted on Winefred lake lodge property.

  • Pets are not permitted on Winefred property, no exceptions.

  • Please ensure all food items are kept either in your rooms or inside your vehicles while on Winefred property, the area is often frequented by bears and small scavengers (birds, squirrels, weasels, foxes etc).

  • Please dispose of any garbage or recyclables in bins to help us keep Winefred Lake Lodge and surrounding area clean.

  • Reserved guests may bring their own boat and launch them at Winefred Lake Lodge. There is a one time fee of $50 and a nightly mooring fee of $30.

Booking during the COVID pandemic. We are open as per usual and following provincial guidelines and protocol. Please understand that specific guidelines and requirements operating in the pandemic can and may change at anytime. Our first priority is the safety of staff and guests at our lodge.

Please see the following for current guidelines for Alberta.

  • Upon check in a staff member will meet you out front the main office and direct you to your room unlocked and ready for you. The main office is closed and we will not be letting guests enter.

  • Rooms will be cleaned and ready for our guests arrival at Winefred Lake Lodge. During your stay house keeping will not enter your rooms for cleaning etc. For any extra amenities please ask the dock staff and house keeping will deliver while you are out on the water.

  • Please be mindful of other guests on the property and keep a safe distance, wear a mask and use hand sanitizer often.

  • Please keep distance at the dock, BBQ area and anywhere you may risk getting close to staff or guests on the property. Safety of our staff and guests is our main priority ensuring this will help keep everyone safe, comfortable, and keep the lodge open during this difficult time for us all.

  • The recreation room is closed to everyone but staff until further notice.

  • Hot tub is closed until further notice.

  • The main lodge and dinning room is reserved for full service guests only at this time as is the main deck. 

  • In the event any dates must be cancelled for any COVID related reason, your deposit will be forwarded to an alternate agreed upon available date.

Cancellation Policy

If the guest must cancel their reservation, guests may choose to roll over dates to a new date and rebook or cancel up to 14 days before check-in and get a 50% refund of the nightly rate, but not the service fees.

If the guest cancels less than 14 days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.
